Reflections by **Pastor Josh Dupiche** I am writing with a heart full of gratitude. As Hope Church has the joy of being formally recognized as a particular church, I wanted to take time to look back, give thanks, and honor the many people God has used to sustain this work. In October of 2020, my family and I moved to Milford, Delaware to help restart Hope Church. I saw more cows, chickens, pigs & goats in people’s backyards than I had ever seen in the Philadelphia Zoo. Recently, I ran into my new neighbors walking their llama down the street. You read that sentence right. Apparently, he really liked me! They told me I can visit him anytime I want. The city in me is still processing this event. We arrived to a faithful group of about ten or so people willing to stay, pray, and do the hard work of building a church. We didn’t have a clear picture of everything the Lord would do. But we had faith and a willingness to labor for the sake of the gospel in Milford. Those early years were not easy. Church planting is never as clean or simple as it looks on paper. And our building didn’t help at all. The bathroom was in the same room as the sanctuary. Believe me, a flushing toilet is not the sound you want to hear after making a point in your sermon. Looking back, I’m so glad God gave us people who were willing to deal with the now as they looked to the future. Slowly, families began joining us and getting plugged in. We started to grow. God helped me grow in my faith and teaching. He helped us grow in outreach. He brought people into the church who were willing to serve and help build the church for the glory of Christ. One of the clearest examples of God’s providence was how He provided our building. After our leadership team and elder candidates prayed and wrote down our needs, we planned to ask the church to join us in prayer. But the Friday before that announcement, I received a call from a local church asking if we were interested in their building. It was everything we had prayed for. So that Sunday, the announcement changed from “pray that we find a building” to “pray that God supplies.” And boy did He! The building had space for worship, children’s ministry, equipment, supplies, classrooms, and more. We went from having little to having to store equipment. I thank God for the many Bible Fellowship Churches and people who gave generously to help us purchase the building. I do not take it lightly that you were willing to help us in times of need. Through your prayers and your giving, a church is planted. On April 27th, 2026, we were formally recognized as a particular church in The Bible Fellowship Church. It is a moment to pause, remember, give thanks, and consider God’s goodness throughout the years. In Acts 2, they were filled with the Holy Spirit and preached the gospel. Many were saved and began meeting together. The Church was born. **This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday, join in prayer for evangelistic church planting.** Pray for the Holy Spirit to do a mighty work. Pray for the gospel of Jesus Christ to reach the lost. Pray for new Bible Fellowship Church Mission Churches to be planted. ![](https://churchusercontent.com/api/image-proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Fauth.churchspace.co%2Fstorage%2Fv1%2Fobject%2Fpublic%2Forganization-assets%2Fcd65c94c-6f2f-4a4e-9784-d5d440efa78b%2F4_Page_1_2026-05-20T17-55-56-629Z.jpg) ![](https://churchusercontent.com/api/image-proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Fauth.churchspace.co%2Fstorage%2Fv1%2Fobject%2Fpublic%2Forganization-assets%2Fcd65c94c-6f2f-4a4e-9784-d5d440efa78b%2F4_Page_2_2026-05-20T17-56-12-808Z.jpg) Download BFC Church Extension Directory [**HERE**](https://auth.churchspace.co/storage/v1/object/public/organization-assets/cd65c94c-6f2f-4a4e-9784-d5d440efa78b/4_2026-05-20T17-57-11-936Z.pdf)
