June Groups / Programs

  • Sunday Morning Kids ~ All children's programs will continue on Sunday Mornings through June 14. On June 21, June 28, and July 5, we will not have the older Children's Church. We will instead have kids in grades 1-6 remain in the service with their families. We will provide a children's bulletin for them. All other nursery and children's areas will be open as usual.
  • Grace Groups ~ While many groups continue to meet in the summer, some do take a break, while others meet less frequently or at alternate locations. If you are part of group, be sure to check with your group leader for your current schedule. If you want to visit a new group, please contact Pastor Aaron in advance.
  • Wednesday Nights ~ All Wednesday Children and Youth programs have ended for the summer, as have DivorceCare, GriefShare, and Bible Training Center. All should return again in September.

June Vacations

The entire staff will be away this weekend (June 5-7), if you have any questions or concerns over the weekend, please direct them to our Elders, particularly Mike Kraemer, who will be in the service on Sunday, or see any greeter. If you have a pastoral need, feel free to call or text either of the Pastors, they will return your call as they are able.

Amy Kaiser will be out of the office until June 15. If you have any needs, feel free to contact Pastor Mark. (any calendar or other requests, please cc: Mark)

Encouragement Cards for Summer Missions

Notes Due THIS SUNDAY!

This Summer, we are sending 16 people to serve at Camp Promise, as well as 3 people to serve the entire summer at Big Sky Bible Camp (which will include serving at Camp Promise). We also have several serving at Victory Valley, as well as at some other local Christian Camps.

We would love for you to write notes of encouragement to those going. Blank cards and the box to collect cards are in the lobby. There is also a list there of who is serving this summer. Please RETURN COMPLETED NOTES by THIS SUNDAY, JUNE 7 , as our first people leave that week.

If you would like to help financially support our summer teams, simply place your donation in an envelope marked "Summer Missions" and place it in an offering box, or go to Giving in Church Center and select "Short Term Missions" fund. If you want to credit your donation toward a specific team member, either mark that on the envelope (not the check itself) or put the name of the team member in the memo field on Church Center. Questions on donations: finance@gracebfc.org.

Del.Val Eagles would like to team up with some local churches to host a soccer- themed block party in Chester in July . They have asked Grace if we could help with that. They are considering Saturday, July 18. If you have any interest in being part of a team from Grace to help Chester celebrate the World Cup in a way that provides opportunities for the gospel to go forth and for people to find Victory Beyond the Cup, click the button below or contact Brit Haseltine or Pastor Mark

PRAISE GOD!

Recently, several people in the church joined together and offered to cover the costs for us to build an ADA Family Restroom. The restroom will include a motorized Adult Changing Table, which will have an insert to use as a child changing table. The new restroom will be located between the main office and Pastor Aaron's current office. There is a small restroom there that will be expanded and will have its entrance relocated to be off the hall by the pastors' offices. We will also be doing some remodeling of the offices around the restroom.

TIMING

We are currently hard at work, finalizing the construction plans. The hope is that in early June, we will finish planning and begin applying for permits. This will enable us to begin knocking down walls around the end of June and begin construction in July. Construction is expected to take 5 - 6 months. As things progress, more details will be given.
