Today, 13 staff engage with underprivileged children, teens, and orphans, plus children and young people with disabilities, troubled families, and young adults who have aged out of the government system but are seeking moral support. Comfort Foundation continues to share the Gospel and love of Christ to people of all ages and every year, are seeing a significant number of individuals coming to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Although Comfort Foundation was founded by BCM International, because of an increased negative attitude from the Russian government toward American ministries operating in Russia, it was agreed to make Comfort Foundation a separate entity, but to operate as an affiliate organization with BCM. **MINISTRY FOCUS** In addition to demonstrating God’s love and sharing the message of salvation, our staff works diligently to equip these children and young adults to lead spiritually and emotionally healthy lives. Staff members and volunteers hold classes, bi-weekly and monthly, for more than 200 children, teens, and adults. In addition, they touch another 200 children and teens, when they have the privilege to visit special needs orphanages and other facilities. **SUMMER MINISTRY** Six weeks of Day Camps were scheduled to be held in Cherepovets and New Corners. One was held in a school for mentally disabled children and one for children from New Corners. Due to missile and drone attacks, other camps had to be cancelled. A news outlet wrote, “Although Cherepovets is located over 800 kilometers (480 miles) from the Ukrainian border – to systematically cripple the Russian military industrial complex, Ukrainian strikes are designed to destroy facilities that produce massive quantities of raw materials for explosives and the Severstal steel plant, disrupting the steel production required to manufacture Russian military hardware and heavy armor.” As a result, many parents sent their children away from the city for the summer. Seven camps were conducted in the city of Vologda and the surrounding villages. Three were held in orphanages, one at a Rehabilitation Center, one for “kids from families with needs,” and two at the Comfort Foundation Center for children in Foster Care. The theme was, “The House that I Built…” Alla Kosterina, Director wrote, “On day one, we talked about the special care we need to give in forming the foundation of life: love, friendship, compassion, the desire to help, faith in God.” Day two, the walls, “we talked about habits that shape our character.” Day three, the doors and windows, “this is the information we allow to enter our lives or that we keep out; what we watch, we follow, what we learn.” On day four, the roof went on; “Reason and Wisdom – treats everything sensibly and rationally. Ask God to help. Cooperation and friendship are better than quarrels and conflicts and that God’s plan for kids’ lives and their dreams can come true if our lives are built on God’s values.” More than 136 children participated in the camps in Vologda filled with lots of games, crafts, fun, and snacks! **A message to our friends at Grace Church, Wallingford, PA – USA** We miss you and always remember the times when we served the kids here in Russia together! Thank you for your support and prayers! God bless you and your families! Please continue to pray for all of us in Vologda, Cherepovets, and New Corners!
