What I'll be up to in the fall:

I am going on staff with the Navigators ministry at Belmont University in Nashville! My responsibilities will include meeting one-on-one to disciple both believing and non-believing students, leading small group Bible study and book study, and being a disciple myself—learning more about Christ and growing in my relationship with Him!

Please pray:

For the journey of raising prayer and financial support so I can get on campus and focus on ministering to Belmont students in the fall.
That my role in Belmont's new student orientation would communicate the greater, sacrificial love of Christ to incoming students.
For open doors and open hearts as I proclaim the gospel to new and current students at Belmont, and for students' lives to be changed by the amazing power of Christ's work on the cross.
For patience, humility, and servant-heartedness as I grow in my relationship with Jesus.
For disciples who make disciples, who make more disciples!

Women in Ministry

This past Sunday, we heard an Elder Update from Andrew Piasecki and then a sermon by Pastor Aaron that addressed the topic of women in ministry in the Bible, including how we at Grace apply this, particularly on the topic of preaching to the gathered church on a Sunday morning. Y ou can listen to that update and sermon HERE

NEW: Cutting Room Floor Video to clarify some points from the sermon HERE

They both referenced a committee of men and women at Grace, who spent the better part of a year studying Scripture and various authors on the issue and who then wrote a report of their study. We wish to publicly thank those who served on that committee, namely:

Nicole Harper
Kayleigh Kaiser
Sandy Miller
Elizabeth Piasecki
Mike Plourde
Nate Sauvé
Simone Sauvé (auditor)
Jon Schmidt (secretary)
Scott Simmons
Aaron Susek (chair)

The committee's complete report to the Elders is available HERE

The Elders want to reiterate that while we see a few places in Scripture that provide for specific roles for men or women, that Scripture is very clear that all people, women and men alike, are equally valued. All are given important gifts by God to be used for the benefit of the church and the world around. We are committed to finding God-honoring places for all people and all giftings within the church.

Additionally, the Elders did seek to clarify how we think specifically about preaching at Grace on a Sunday Morning. They carefully considered the committee's report, the Elders' own studies of the Bible, and recent decisions of the Bible Fellowship Church. They concluded that preaching in the weekly gathering of the church is done under the authority of the Elders, and therefore, those who preach should be carefully vetted by the Elders. They also concluded that the Sunday sermon in particular should be limited to qualified men at this time. If you care to read the full text of the Elders and BFC Preaching Policies, as well as the Elders' updated vetting procedure, you can access all those documents in one place HERE.

Questions or Concerns? We would love to hear from you! Contact any Elder (Mike Plourde, Mike Kraemer, Mark Kessler, Nate Biermaas, Steve Bach, Andrew Piasecki, Mark Bickel, and Aaron Susek). Questions on documents, contact Pastor Mark

NURSE for VICTORY VALLEY - Victory Valley needs an RN for two weeks of camp this summer and need your help finding someone who loves Jesus and is willing to volunteer for a week or part of a week of camp. The priority is a Teen week, which includes Cabin Camp, Outpost, and Day Camp, running from July 19th at 1:30pm through July 24th at 7pm. The nurse would stay on site from Sunday through Friday, or whatever portion they can cover. One of our veteran nurses is available to assist that week but cannot cover the full week. We also need a nurse to cover July 13th through July 17th, from 8am to 4pm each day. That week is for Day Camp only and is usually very quiet for the nurse. Victory Valley carries liability insurance that serves as the primary coverage for all volunteer nurses. We also have a medical director, Dr. John Daubert of Trinity BFC, who has standing orders that are printed and in place to ensure clear direction for the nurse. Nurses' kids can attend camp FREE as our way of saying "Thank You"! Contact: Curt Cutler, Director610-966-5880, www.victoryvalleycamp.org

Free Stuff!

We are cleaning out several of the offices, so over the next two weeks, there will be tables in the gym with items we no longer use that you can take for FREE. Some is new, some is used. There are office supplies as well as furniture! But if you like it, be sure to take it. We will be disposing of everything not claimed!

We also have an old wooden desk and 2 metal 4-drawer filing cabinets we would like to give away, so if you have an interest in seeing those, contact Pastor Mark.

Office Moving THIS WEEK!

In preparation for building the ADA Family Restroom, we are moving the main office for the church down the hall. The main office will have a temporary set-up in what used to be Pastor Tim's office , the office to the right of the side entrance to the church, across from Aaron's office. We will be moving the desk, copier, mailboxes, and supplies to that space.

DRAWING

While the drawing below is not the final technical drawing, it will give you an idea where the new restroom is going and what it will look like.

By God’s grace, you’ll walk away from this conference with fresh passion for the

supremacy of God’s Word, fresh love and compassion for people, and fresh insight

into how to bring the two together in a local church context.

Recently, several people in the church joined together and offered to cover the costs for us to build an ADA Family Restroom. The restroom will include a motorized Adult Changing Table, which will have an insert to use as a child changing table. The new restroom will be located between the main office and Pastor Aaron's current office. There is a small restroom there that will be expanded and will have its entrance relocated to be off the hall by the pastors' offices. We will also be doing some remodeling of the offices around the restroom.

TIMING

We are currently hard at work, finalizing the construction plans. The hope is that in early June, we will finish planning and begin applying for permits. This will enable us to begin knocking down walls around the end of June and begin construction in July. Construction is expected to take 5 - 6 months. As things progress, more details will be given.

Congratulations Josh & Hope Church!

Reflections by Pastor Josh Dupiche

I am writing with a heart full of gratitude. As Hope Church has the joy of being formally recognized as a particular church, I wanted to take time to look back, give thanks, and honor the many people God has used to sustain this work.

In October of 2020, my family and I moved to Milford, Delaware to help restart Hope Church. I saw more cows, chickens, pigs & goats in people’s backyards than I had ever seen in the Philadelphia Zoo. Recently, I ran into my new neighbors walking their llama down the street. You read that sentence right. Apparently, he really liked me! They told me I can visit him anytime I want. The city in me is still processing this event.

We arrived to a faithful group of about ten or so people willing to stay, pray, and do the hard work of building a church. We didn’t have a clear picture of everything the Lord would do. But we had faith and a willingness to labor for the sake of the gospel in Milford.

Those early years were not easy. Church planting is never as clean or simple as it looks on paper. And our building didn’t help at all. The bathroom was in the same room as the sanctuary. Believe me, a flushing toilet is not the sound you want to hear after making a point in your sermon. Looking back, I’m so glad God gave us people who were willing to deal with the now as they looked to the future. Slowly, families began joining us and getting plugged in. We started to grow.

God helped me grow in my faith and teaching. He helped us grow in outreach. He brought people into the church who were willing to serve and help build the church for the glory of Christ.

One of the clearest examples of God’s providence was how He provided our building. After our leadership team and elder candidates prayed and wrote down our needs, we planned to ask the church to join us in prayer. But the Friday before that announcement, I received a call from a local church asking if we were interested in their building. It was everything we had prayed for. So that Sunday, the announcement changed from “pray that we find a building” to “pray that God supplies.”

And boy did He! The building had space for worship, children’s ministry, equipment, supplies, classrooms, and more. We went from having little to having to store equipment.

I thank God for the many Bible Fellowship Churches and people who gave generously to help us purchase the building. I do not take it lightly that you were willing to help us in times of need. Through your prayers and your giving, a church is planted.

On April 27th, 2026, we were formally recognized as a particular church in The Bible Fellowship Church. It is a moment to pause, remember, give thanks, and consider God’s goodness throughout the years.

Pentecost Prayer for BFC Church Planting

Prayer preceded Pentecost.

In Acts 1, the men and the women joined together constantly in prayer.

In Acts 2, they were filled with the Holy Spirit and preached the gospel.

Many were saved and began meeting together. The Church was born.

This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday, join in prayer for evangelistic church planting.

Pray for the Holy Spirit to do a mighty work.

Pray for the gospel of Jesus Christ to reach the lost.

Pray for new Bible Fellowship Church Mission Churches to be planted.

Event Number One

One of our aims as a church is to help you build community to grow in Christ alongside others, because faith was never meant to be lived out alone. This gathering is a relaxed, welcoming space to share a meal, hear encouraging stories, and take a simple next step in forming meaningful relationships within our church family. Whether you’re brand new or have been around for years, this event is designed to help you connect, be known, and discover how God uses community to shape and strengthen our faith together.

The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe

Join us for a unique theatrical experience as we present "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" in an immersive, moving production throughout our church building. Rather than sitting in one place, the audience will journey with the characters from room to room as the story unfolds—walking through forests, meeting unforgettable characters, and watching the battle between good and evil come to life all around you. This interactive format allows you to experience the story in a whole new way—up close and part of the adventure.

Accessibility: A lift is available so every guest can access all areas of the performance.

ASL Accommodations: We will have live ASL interpreters at our Thursday evening performance.

Please note: While the play is family-friendly, some scenes may be intense for very young children.

We hope you’ll join us for this unforgettable journey through the wardrobe!

Kingdom Conversations

April 19, 2026 at 6:30 PM

On the Third Sundays of the Month, we are offering a space to worship, learn together, and talk through some difficult questions and issues. The main topic we'll explore more deeply is The Kingdom of God. The main question we'll be going after is how do we live out the values and "mechanics" of The Kingdom and faithfully give witness to its presence in the world. Included in that will be addressing issues of violence and warfare, justice and defense, political allegiances, and other methods of secular kingdom building. We'll go deep with Scripture, push into uncomfortable conversations, and prayerfully model a more effective (and God-honoring!) way to tackle difficult issues together. Session 1 will be this Sunday at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary. All are welcome. Childcare not yet provided. Contact: Pastor Aaron
