Good Afternoon Parents!

I hope that this e-mail finds you well, enjoying this spectacular weather.

I have a quick reminder for you to read if you attend on Sunday mornings: children in elementary school and younger should be supervised by parents in the gym after our Sunday service. Parents should head down to the gym with their children as soon as the service is done and have their conversations there so that their children are not left unsupervised. I am "off the clock" during that time so that I am able to connect with other congregation members as well and I can't be expected to supervise your children or step in when different situations arise. We have a new craft, coloring books, Legos, gaga ball, and other sports equipment set out every week to make it a fun (but safe) time for all ages, and to give you the opportunity to talk to others while your children play. Also, please remind your children to only run around or play with the sports equipment on the appropriate side of the gym and redirect them if/when they forget.

Here's important things you can find in this e-mail:

Victory Valley Family Event!

Oct 24 @ 4:00-7:00

We highly recommend heading out to Victory Valley Camp on October 24th from 4:00-7:00 for their free "Bunk or Treat" family event. They'll have free hayrides, zip line pumpkin chunkin (how amazing is that!?), s'mores, crafts and other activities. It's about an hour away, but they make the trip worth it! Plus, it's a great opportunity for your family to check out this incredible camp that our BFC denomination has the great privilege of owning.

Questions? Reach out to Rachel Kessler.

"Camping" Trip - Grades 3-5

Oct 16, 6pm - Oct 17, 11am

What will we be doing? We will have a fun night around the campfire and playing in the playground (gaga, 9-square, etc.) When it gets darker, we'll sing around the campfire and hear an encouraging testimony. Plus we have to make s'mores. The next morning we will have breakfast and play games at the camp until students are picked up.

Where will we sleep? We will sleep in the dorm (Beacon Hall) which has bunk beds and bathrooms within the same building.

Where is drop off/pick up? Students should be dropped off and picked up directly at the camp. Feel free to carpool or let me know if this is a hardship and I can try to help arrange transportation.

Can my child go up late on Friday night or get picked up early? YES! We will be at the camp the entire time, so feel free to drop off late or pick up early. Just let me know beforehand so that we can be prepared.

How much does the FULL weekend cost? The cost of the retreat is $5 per student, if you are able.

Is there dinner on Friday night? YES! We will be roasting hot dogs and other fun foods around the fire as kids arrive.
